Spooktacular Bump-out Decorating
Avoca Main Street would like to invite you to add your decorating flair to our downtown district for 2024's Trick-or-Treat on Main Street! Our district has several bump-outs, the planted curb extensions at the corners of each block. Individuals, groups, or businesses may apply to adopt one of these bump-outs in October, and trick-or-treaters and their families can enjoy them during our downtown Halloween celebration.
RULES OF PARTICIPATION:
Fill out the form below to be assigned a bump-out.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applicants may be an individual, group, or a business.
Decorations must be family-friendly (can be cute or can by spooky, but fun-spooky).
Electrical outlets are not available; any lighted or animated decorations must operate by battery.
Decorations must be entirely weather-proof, temporary, and removeable (no paint, no glitter, no plastic confetti, etc.).
NO artificial cobwebs are allowed, as these interfere with plant, insect, and bird life.
Decorate your bump-out starting October 21, 2024. Decorations MUST be completed by October 31, 2024.
Decorations MUST be removed by November 4, 2024.
Neither the City of Avoca nor Avoca Main Street, Inc. are responsible for lost, destroyed, or stolen property. Any damage caused by decor may be investigated by the City of Avoca.
