Think Shark Tank – Main Street style!
Holtz Service & Small Engine is on their way to compete in the Open 4 Business Live Pitch Contest! Kevin and Gina Nelson, owners of Holtz Service & Small Engine in downtown Avoca, Iowa, have successfully won their population category for a business expansion to upgrade equipment in their service and sales areas. On Tuesday, August 5, 2024, they'll give their pitch to a new round of judges and hope to secure additional funding for their expansion project, which will mean improved services for Avocans!
Everyone is welcome to attend to see five semi-finalists compete for this state award, which provides financial and technical support for entrepreneurial businesses that improve designated Main Street districts.

The contest will be held in advance of the Iowa Downtown Conference on Tuesday, August 5, 2024 at the
The Olympic Theater - 1202 3rd St. SE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at 5 p.m. Cash bar and light appetizers available.

GOOD LUCK to Holtz Service & Small Engine and to Kevin and Gina! We'll keep you updated on the results!
